Mohammad AHMAD

Mohammad Ahmad obtained his doctoral degree in 2023 from the University of Le Havre under the supervision of Dr. Vincent Dalla. His research focused on the reactivity of phosphiranium ions and the development of new methodologies for their ring opening reactions. In 2024, he moved to Strasbourg and joined the team of Prof. Xavier Bugaut as a postdoctoral researcher where he worked on the synthesis of novel iodoimidazolium-based halogen-bond donors and their application in organocatalysis. He subsequently joined the COHA team as an ATER, working under the supervision of Prof. Sabine Choppin on the development of dual Ni/photoredox catalytic methods for C–N atropisomeric coupling. Currently, Mohammad is an ATER (Teaching Assistant) in the BSM team under the supervision of Dr. Vincent Bizet. His current research focuses on the development of cycloaddition reactions with fluorinated substrates.

Faycel DJEBBAR

Faycel Djebbar obtained his Master’s degree from Sorbonne University, during which he completed an internship at IPCM under the supervision of Prof. Virginie Mansuy, focusing on the synthesis of gold complexes. He then pursued his PhD at the École Supérieure de Chimie de Paris (ENSCP-PSL) under the supervision of Dr. Guillaume Lefèvre, where his research centered on the synthesis and characterization of low-valent iron complexes for catalytic applications. After completing his PhD, he joined the group of Prof. Lutz Ackermann at IOBC for a short postdoctoral stay, working on electrocatalyzed C–H bond activation. He subsequently joined LIMA as a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Dr. Nicolas Blanchard where he works on the development of cycloaddition reactions.
